Police Appeal for Witnesses After Cyclist Seriously Injured in Malton

North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses and information following a serious collision involving a cyclist and a silver Mercedes.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2024, on Whitewall Corner Hill in Malton. Emergency services responded to the scene, where the cyclist, a man whose identity has not been released, sustained serious injuries, including broken bones. He was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have information about the events leading up to it to come forward. They are particularly keen to hear from motorists who might have dashcam footage capturing the movements of either vehicle prior to the collision.
