Your guide to fireworks displays across Driffield and the Yorkshire Wolds

With Bonfire Night approaching, thousands of people from Driffield and the surrounding villages will be joining friends and family to enjoy fireworks displays across the area.

Guy Fawkes Night marks the events of November 5, 1605, when York-born Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding explosives placed underneath the House of Lords as part of an attempt to assassinate King James I and Parliament.

Several events are taking place across the Driffield, Wolds and wider East Riding area, offering everything from traditional bonfires and family entertainment to spectacular professional firework displays.

Here is our guide to what’s happening.
