Police renew witness appeal to fatal collision involving cyclist and truck

Investigating officers are hoping someone saw truck or cyclist prior to collision and can help them with their enquiries.

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Officers from the Humberside Police Serious Collision Unit are re-appealing for witnesses of a fatal collision between a white Iveco Tipper truck and a cyclist on the B1253 between Octon to Sledmere which happened on Friday the 25th of November shortly after 3pm.

The cyclist, Ian Milner (55) from Driffield died in the collision.

Tragically, he and his wife Tracey also lost their son Owen in a road traffic collision in May, 2014, whilst he was riding his motorbike on the B1248 near Wansford.

Ian was riding his bike on the B1253 / Octon roundabout / B1249 between 2.30 and 3pm on that afternoon. He was wearing a light blue long sleeved top and was riding a black and green Specialised Allez bike.

Anyone who may have seen Ian prior to the collision and has information that would help our investigators establish the full circumstances are asked to call us on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 322 of 25/11/2016.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gmaps link=”#E-8_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”][/vc_column][/vc_row]
