“Despite these efforts, we still have not located Libby and as you can understand we are extremely concerned for her welfare.

“I want to thank everyone for their messages of concern, for sharing the information about Libby and those who live in the area who have been checking their gardens, porches and sheds to help us try to find her.

“I’d also like to take the opportunity to thank the teams out there last night and today – police officers, members of the special constabulary and PCSO’s and partner agencies.

“We know that Libby got into a taxi outside the Welly Club on Beverley Road at around 11pm on Thursday night and we think she got out of the taxi a short while later near her home address on Wellesley Avenue.

“She was last seen on CCTV on Beverley road close to the junction with Hayworth Street at around 11.45. From there she may have walked in either direction down Beverley Road, or down Hayworth Street.

“Officers are out again today searching and we are hoping that Libby will turn up safe and well. I urge anyone who knows anything about her whereabouts to come forward and speak to us.

“People have asked what they can do to help. We continue to ask those living in that area to check their gardens and out buildings in case Libby has taken shelter and if anyone was driving around the area between 11pm Thursday night and 3am Friday morning and has dash cam footage, please come forward by contacting 101.

“We are supporting Libby’s family who have described her as a very thoughtful and caring young woman who puts others before herself. They say that this is very out of character.

“I once again urge anyone with any information about Libby to come forward.”

In addition, a statement on The Welly’s Facebook page also asks those with any details to make themselves known.

“If any of our customers who visited last night have any information regarding Libby Squire’s whereabouts, please contact Humberside Police ASAP,” said the post.
