‘Everybody had a ball’ at the 15th annual Tribfest as it continues to be a huge success attracting hundreds of locals as well as many from further afield.

The weather favoured the festival goers at Sledmere House with plenty of sunshine over the weekend, a well deserved treat after several years of grey skies and rain.

Organiser of the event, Ed Faulkner, said: “It was absolutely brilliant, everybody had a ball.

“This year has been the smoothest it’s ever gone and the weather helped massively with that. It couldn’t have gone any better.

“Everybody and everything was fantastic – even the toilets and showers were fantastic!”

The world’s biggest tribute act festival had an impressive line up featuring Badness, Kopycat Killers and U2OPIA, tributes to Madness, The Killers and U2 respectively.

Ed added: “The bands just keep raising the bar every year. I think because there’s not many stages as big as ours for tribute acts, they really take the opportunity to raise their profile and give it their all.”

Over 4,800 people attended this year’s festival, with discounted tickets already on sale for next year’s.

Normally 60-75 per cent of ticket are sold at this time but Ed believes that the ticket sales so far suggest they might sell out.
