
Humberside Police is appealing for witnesses to a collision which happened on the B1248, Station Road between Lund and Bainton, in the East Riding of Yorkshire that happened at 7.25am yesterday morning (Wednesday 11 September 2019).
A silver Renault Clio was travelling north on the B1248 when it was in collision with a Ford Transit van travelling in the opposite direction.
The Clio had been extensively damaged and both the driver and passenger had sustained serious injuries, they were treated at the scene by firefighters and paramedics before they were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The passenger, a woman, sadly died of her injuries in hospital yesterday. The driver, a woman, suffered serious injuries but these are not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of Ford Transit was suffering shock and chest pains and was treated at the scene by paramedics but refused hospital treatment. His three male passengers were uninjured..
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, that has not already spoken to them, to call them on the non-emergency number 101 quoting log 81 11/09/19.
