The father of Liverpool footballer Luis Diaz has been released, nearly two weeks after his was kidnapped in Colombia.

Luis Manuel Diaz was released by the National Liberation Army after he was abducted by armed men while driving in La Guajira.

Diaz’s mother was rescued by police within hours of the kidnapping.
