Wetwang Village Hall celebrates 25 years at the heart of the community

Wetwang Village Hall is a modern, purpose-built hall that is at the heart of the local community.

The hall is run by a dedicated team of volunteers from Wetwang. It is a vital resource for the rural community.

The hall is a registered charity and receives no external funding. Hire of the hall along with support of the food and drink provisions ensures that the hall can keep providing vital facilities for the local rural communities.

The hall is celebrating its 25th year since being built in 2000.

As the hall moves into its next chapter, the focus is on expanding opportunities for businesses and organisations to benefit from its excellent facilities.

There is a spacious main hall that can seat 120 people, modern kitchen, meeting room and accessible amenities.

The hall is located on Southfield Road, Wetwang (postcode YO25 9XX)

Wetwang Village Hall is ideally suited for:

As well as providing facilities for local businesses the hall provides for local schools, sports clubs, regular community events as well as birthday parties, weddings and funerals.

It is also available to hire for badminton, table tennis or short mat bowls.

Badminton nets, two table tennis tables and three short mat bowls mats are available for private bookings as well as for use during designated club nights.

The main hall measures 17 metres by eight metres and has heating, a sprung floor and is high enough to play badminton or to inflate a bouncy castle.

It also has a demountable stage, public address system, large wall-mounted screen, induction loop, basic stage lighting and can comfortably seat 120 people with the stage erected.

The meeting room is perfect to host a small conference or meeting for up to 30 delegates. The room is comfortably furnished and has its own heating controls.

The hall has a spacious modern kitchen that has a constant boiling water supply.

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, freezers, microwave and a domestic cooker, but is also large enough for outside caterers to use their own equipment.

The area under the main serving hatch to the main hall has been left free to accommodate bar equipment and barrels, and the hall does have an alcohol licence.

There is also a 120-piece dinner service available for hire for use in the hall.

The mezzanine deck is a viewing area that overlooks the main hall. It can be used for small informal meetings but it is accessed via stairs so does not have access for the disabled.

High speed WiFi is available throughout the hall.
