Driffield Steam Fair rolls Back into Town this August

The Driffield Steam Fair returns to the Driffield Showground this summer for a packed weekend of vintage sights and family-friendly fun on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th August 2025.
A highlight of the weekend is the hugely popular Saturday evening Steam Road Run, when steam engines, classic trucks and cars, tractors, and motorcycles roll into Driffield town centre at 6pm. Hundreds of people line the smoke-filled streets to watch the impressive convoy pass by, with vehicles parking up in the heart of town for around an hour, creating a unique and atmospheric street gathering.

Back at the showground, visitors can enjoy a vast array of steam engines, vintage vehicles, military and agricultural machinery, motorcycles, prams, bicycles, and more. Many of the exhibits will be parked for close-up viewing, with their owners on hand to chat and share their stories.
There’s plenty of entertainment throughout the weekend, including an old-time fairground, live music, indoor craft stalls, model displays, trade stands, and a wide selection of food and drink.
The event is dog-friendly, though pets must be kept on a lead and cleaned up after. Camping is available for those wanting to stay for the full weekend.
Tickets are available on the gate. Whether you’re a vintage enthusiast or simply looking for a great day out, Driffield Steam Fair offers something for everyone.
